Your Role: As a Cost Engineer/Controller, you will:
- Partner with project teams to develop and refine project budgets, incorporating detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment, while establishing and maintaining cost baselines for effective financial management throughout the turnaround lifecycle.
- Implement rigorous cost tracking mechanisms to monitor real-time expenditures, conduct variance analysis, and forecast future costs, ensuring the project remains within financial parameters and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Oversee the verification and approval of project expenses, manage the change order process, and evaluate the financial impact of scope changes to maintain budget integrity and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Proactively identify and analyse potential financial risks, developing and executing mitigation strategies to safeguard the project against cost overruns and market fluctuations, ensuring robust financial health and project success.
- Deliver comprehensive cost reports and performance metrics to stakeholders, ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement in cost control processes through the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions.
